WILDLIFE
VIEWING
The area is teeming with wildlife. Hundreds of pelicans,
swallows, cranes, schools of dolphins, and migrating California gray
whales.
It is a bit of a hassle to see them. You
have to walk up our staircase, and sit on our upper deck - WHAT A
HASSLE!

BEACH WALKING
Just step off the patio, and to your right is a 2 mile stretch of
beach that has no houses - an environmentally protected area.
The rest of the stretch is all natural, a protected area teeming with
wildlife, and pristine vistas.
Go to the left, and there is 1/2 miles of beach;
a nice way to walk to the club.

FOURWHEELING
The mountains just to the south of us are a great place to get off the
beaten track. Just past La Jolla, there is a little road
to the left with a sign that says "RANCHO KENNEDY".
Take the road, but as you go up, veer to the left instead of to Rancho
Kennedy. From there, stick only to the main dirt track; the
others get a little hairy. If you go far enough you will get to
the other side of the mountains and you will switchback down to a
coastline, where it is doubtful you will see anyone else.
We recommend this only for a sturdy vehicle,
4 Wheel preferable, and you do this at your own risk. If you run
into a problem, you may be on your own.

There are 4 lighted tennis courts at the club, there and
rarely a wait. The last time I checked, there was no fee
for it's use.

BICYCLING
Bring your bike, your Cannondale is not necessary, any old bike
will do! Ride along the ocean (when the tide is out) and luxuriate in
the gentle breezes of Baja. My favorite ride is during the
sunset hours. Turn right from the house, the shoreline is rock
hard (at low tide) and continue north to the end, it's approximately a
15-20 minute ride. What a joy to take a spin on one of the
most unspoiled beaches in the world where there are hundreds of
pelicans and swallows resting on the shoreline. This ride is a
must!

WATER SPORTS
Just minutes from the house is a boat launching area. My favorite boat ride is to
Estero Beach resort ( approximately 20 minutes), where you can dock your
boat and have lunch at the outdoor seaside restaurant. It's an
absolutely awesome experience! REMEMBER - Get back while the tide is
up, it is dangerous trying to return at low tide.

HORSEBACK
RIDING
Treat yourself to a tour of the many sights in the area
and ride along the beach with one of the local guides. There are
many rentals along the way to the Bufadora, the last check was $7.00
per hour!
